doubleohblonde: (Bond is driving)

Today the Danger Shop was set up to overlook a stunning vista, with a majestic racing track (the likes of which you usually only saw in video games or very expensive spy movies) cut into the sides of a series of cliffs. The effect was spoiled only a very little when you took a good look at the vehicles Bond had chosen for the students to drive.

"Driving," Bond began. "Is a vital skill. However, since turning students into skilled drivers in the course of one lesson is beyond even my skills, so we'll focus on the most important driving skill of all today. Not crashing. By using vehicles with simplified controls, you should be able to focus on that without the need for further instruction."

"However, since the most dangerous hazard on the road is other drivers, we're going to make things interesting," he added, gesturing to a rack of cut-down paint-ball guns. "Whilst your main objective today is to not crash, your secondary goal is to prevent your fellow students from achieving that goal. In any case, the safeties are on, so even if you do crash, no harm will come of it. So you can start whenever you're ready."

Gavin hoped driving go-karts was just like flying. It would make things that much easier.

Hinata had started the lecture off mildly interested... and steadily got more and more alarmed at the idea of what he wanted them to do.

She'd never even heard of cars before coming here, and now he wanted her to drive something that, presumably, worked much like a car? And not crash it?

Adam eyed the go-karts and couldn't help but smile. Too bad Tommy wasn't here. He'd have a blast in those.

Eeee! Go-karts! Turtle had trouble really listening too much to the lecture because she was bouncing happily.

Gwynn was not, so not, thinking this was a good plan.

Hurley got in his kart and instantly felt like he'd better be suited for dangerous driving in a more solid vehicle. Like... a VW Bus.

Boy, Turtle was sure glad she'd taken driver's ed and earned her license with Bond earlier; it was looking to be very beneficial on her with this course...

...which convinced her that maybe she didn't like go-carts as much as she'd initially thought, oh man.

Helen took off, like well, like a bat out of hell, should she have been familiar with the saying.

Gavin was there, wondering if he could smuggle a go-kart back to his universe.

I'm dying to see the new Bond flick, but I'll be away this weekend. *pouts*
