Like most previous Parents' Weekends, Bond was in his office, and through some stroke of fortune, his heater was actually working properly, so he was actually wearing a shirt this time.

The door was open and he had few extra chairs out.

Well, a shirt was certainly appreciated. By Harry. And probably only Harry, considering this island.

"Good morning," he said, ever polite when possible.

Bond had already had to deal with sad looking squirrels outside his window.

"Good morning." Because he had manners too.

They'd just have to wait for when some strange event destroyed his shirts. Or possibly do it themselves. Insidious little rodents.

"Harry Hart," he said, stepping forward to offer a handshake. "I'm here to ask after one of your students."

He took the offered hand and shook it firmly.

"Eggsy." Bond paid attention to the radio. "He's a good student. Though I have to wonder what someone like you wants with someone like him."

What, didn't they seem like they ran in the same social circles?

"Someone like me?" he asked. "I suppose it does seem strange. I knew Eggsy's father."

No especially, no.

"Oh? In the Royal Marines?"

"In a manner of speaking." A completely inaccurate manner of speaking. He was just a simple tailor, though. So clearly that wasn't strange. "He was a good man."

Which was why Harry was trying to My Fair Lady his kid. Yeah.

"I see." So the same manner of speaking where Bond was simply a former navy officer turned teacher then. "I did get that impression from Eggsy."

Harry gave a bland little smile at that. "I felt it my duty to try to keep an eye on the boy."

Since be blamed himself the man's death and all. No big deal.

"I'm sure Eggsy will be happy to see you then."

Completely.

"Of course." Which was why Harry was carefully avoiding him. "It is always good to have a visit from home."

Something else Eggsy would no doubt be overjoyed by.

Were they having an adorably polite British spy off? Because that was clearly what this weekend had been missing up until now.

"What was if that you teach again?"

They could have an impolite British spy off, but that would just bring down the whole tone of the weekend.

"Various subjects," Bond replied blandly.

Yes, the ensuing explosions would put a damper on things. But maybe they could aim for Obi-Wan's office and really spread that glitter.

"A jack of all trades and master of none."

At least those saddened by a lack of shirtlessness would appreciate two grown men wrestling in glitter.

It might even be a Fandom first! Although, the squirrels would find reason to be disappointed in the lack of boykissy.

"Ah," Harry replied with cutting politeness. It was a thing. The sort one learns at boarding school where the lads have titles to inherit and no common sense at all. "For a teacher, I would think that is only necessary. The precociousness of youth."

"Not just teaching," Bond's politeness was the kind you learned when you'd been at those very same boarding schools without one. "I've found it helpful for any career where one might deal with the unexpected."

All they needed now was tea. Or theme music to begin.

"Quite right. It can be a bit of a lifesaver."
